I own a 05 crf450r and love to ride the trails in Minnesota. But if you read the warning stickers on the rear fender it says it is for closed course competition only. Is it legal to ride the trails with this bike? What can i do to make it legal.

The bike should be under 96db and have a spark arrestor. You may also need insurance, but I'm not sure for you.

I would find out what your state requires to be OHV compliant. Usually you will need to meet a sound requirement, have a pipe with a spark arrestor as well as an OHV tag of some sort.

Thanks for the input guys. I do have tags for trail riding I just don't want a ticket from the DNR. I don't think the 05 crf450r comes stock with a spark arrester, I will check my manual. Thanks again
