XR250 Front/Rear Springs Confusion

Hi All,
I've been looking into getting new stiffer front/rear springs for my 1996 XR250. I weigh around 220 lbs and I often ride with my wife on the back. She is around 135 lbs. I am at a bit of loss on how to proceed on new springs. The 4strokes.com website has a table for suggested front/rear springs by weight as shown below. It says the stock front/rear springs are 0.38kg/9.9kg. Racetech says it is 0.398kg/11.3kg. For 240 lbs weight, 4strokes.com says use 0.48kg/10.6kg and racetech says 0.44kg/11.85kg. In addition, I contacted Cannon Racecraft and they are suggesting for 240lbs a front/rear rate of 0.50kg/12.6kg. So, it appears that there isn't agreement on the stock spring rates nor the suggested spring rates for 240 lbs. And, the differences are significant. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here???

Have you tried Eibach's website for stock and recommended spring rates?

If you're talking about this tool at https://eibach.com/us/p-101-suspension-worksheet.html , I can't seem to make it work. You press on the "Motorcycle" option and it pops up a form that is underneath the page titlebar and there is no way to fill in the motorcyle info.

Here's the Eibach Motorcycle Spring Catalog that shows stock spring rates and Eibach replacements:

Nice. But, now Eibach has yet another different stock spring rate of front/rear 0.35/11.0. LOL.

If I can throw another monkey wrench in, a rep at Honda USA in Torrance informed me that most Honda MX and off-road bikes were factory tuned for a 160-pound rider. That was back in early 2000 when we did an article with Race Tech in Corona.

Try Racetech's website and spring calculator.
