Honda Suspension Specs

We recommend using a service manual for any repair. However, for those times where a manual is not accessible, we have provided this specs page for reference.

XL250R ('83) Fork Oil Specs
  • Capacity: 300 cc or 10.14 oz
  • Level: 173mm of 6.81"

XL500R ('82) Fork Oil/Air Specs
  • Capacity: 376-381cc or 12.71-12.8 oz (waverunner)
  • Level: 163mm or 6.42" (waverunner)
  • Air Pressure: 0-20 kPa or 0-0.2 kg/cm2 or 0-2.8 psi (waverunner)

XR80R ('02) Fork Oil Specs
  • Level: 184mm

XR250R Stock Suspension Settings (screws all the way in is full hard position)
  • Fork Compression: 7 clicks counterclockwise after set screw is lightly seated.
  • Shock Rebound (bottom screw): 7-10 clicks counterclockwise after set screw is lightly seated.
  • Shock Compression (top screw): 9-12 clicks counterclockwise after set screw is lightly seated.
  • Shock Nitrogen: 142 PSI Stock, 265 PSI Race Tech
  • Fork Oil Capacity: 18.1oz or 535cc
  • Fork Oil (Standard) Level: 135mm (5.3"), Max Level: 125mm (4.9"), Min Level: 165mm (6.5"). Remove springs and compress fork completely to measure oil level. Measured from the top of the tube down.

XR350R Shock Nitrogen Specs
  • 142 PSI Stock
  • 242 PSI

XR400R ('96-'04) Fork Oil Specs
  • Capacity: ?
  • Viscosity: 2.5 wt (baja rider)
  • Level: 4" from top of fork tube (baja rider)
  • Stock Settings, Fork: Comp 8 clicks, Rebound 3 clicks; Shock: Comp 12 clicks, Rebound 10 clicks (ref topic)

XR400R Shock Nitrogen Specs
  • 140 PSI to 142 PSI Stock, 142 PSI Service Manual
  • 150 PSI to 150 PSI Plush
  • 215 PSI to 252 PSI Race Tech Gold Valves

XR500R ('84) Fork Oil Specs
  • Capacity: 22oz

XR500R ('84) Shock Nitrogen Specs
  • 285 psi

XR600R Fork Oil Specs
  • Oil: DEXRON Auto Trans Fluid or 10W Fork oil, per manual, 85-87 models. -lcdtech
  • Oil Capacity: 631cc or 21.3 fl.oz, per manual, 85-87 models. -lcdtech
  • Best way to remove fork springs, spring seats and spacer from each fork tube: fully compress forks, with both wheels on ground, apply front brakes and bottom out forks. Hold forks down then measure oil level. should between 147mm/5.8" max and 117mm/4.6" min (5.5" good). -lcdtech
     
  • '85-'87 Capacity: 631cc or 21.3 fl oz
  • '85-'87 Level: 147mm or 5.8" max, 117mm or 4.6" min
     
  • '88-'90 Capacity: 643cc or 21.8 fl oz{/url]
  • '88-'90 Level: 130mm or 5.1" max, 100mm or 3.9" min
     
  • '91-'92 Capacity: 580cc or 19.6 fl oz
  • '91-'92 Level: 125mm or 4.9"

XR650R Fork Oil Specs (Factory)
  • Viscosity: 5wt oil
  • Level: 120mm from the top of fork tube

I didn't catch the forks Spec's for the 1985 XR350R?

ok I caught the XR350R rear shock spec's, but did not see anything on the front fork's spec's?
