Great pics Corkey. We did the same ride as your Day 2 ride except we started at Poison Spider and ended it with Gemini Bridges. Did all of your group stay in the same motel? I ask because you say you were with a group of 35. I met a guy of about 60 at our motel(Super 8)the day before we left that said he was there with a group of 35 that tries to do Moab every year. He had a new WR250 he was going to be riding for the first time. Just was wondering if he was with your group.

Good grief, 35 or 60 guys, I can't eat that much dust, I have to ride with smaller groups. Like 2.

I'll chime in here. I just got back this Sunday from 4 days there myself. What a blast!! I saw a couple of small rocks. Weather was getting hot in the afternoon. One day my thermometer said 85. Loved the poisonous spider and Metal Masher. The part of Metal Masher called Widow Maker and Mirror Gulch. What fun! Beautiful country. Loved all the arches.
There was a big meadow fire on the north side of town near the river and where 191 and 128 meet. It knocked out power to the whole city from 3pm Friday afternoon until 10 or 11 pm.

Sure Beav, blame it on the fire, now tell us what really happened.

Trailrider: Yes that was where we were staying. I think that guy was from L.A. area. The adverge age was about 55 for the whole group. Youngest was 35, oldest 67.

Cutryby: Its not a good idea to ride this area with less than 4 riders. Some places you are happy for all the help available. Very little dust on the trails, just rocks. On the roads you just spread out. We usually break up in to groups of 10. Save your pennies, when you get old like us you to can go ride for fun. KEEP THE RUBBER SIDE DOWN Corky

Really enjoyed you guy's pics. Mad me sad 'cuz I really miss it out there, though. (been 11 yrs.) Any of you ever come down from Poison Spider (I think) on that goat path down the face of the cliff you see from the bridge ? Did on a pedal bike, not the XR. You fall, you die. Cheers.
