As the piston goes up and down 650cc's of air goes in and out of the breather , when it blows out it carries oil vapor. The oil separator condenses the vapor and allows it to be drawn back into the motor. It's best to leave the breather set up as it came from Honda.

In your case I would just drill the slide's vacuum holes. Steer clear of ''XRs Eventually'' , they're not known for their customer service. Niche Cycle has the best prices on the Mikuni TM40 pumper carbs and the cables , adapters from Amazon. The ''kits'' are higher priced than the individual parts ...

At your altitude the stock jetting should be pretty close , the bog is just the nature of the stock constant velocity carb.

You will use 2 of the 3 wires to the tail light. 1 is ground , 1 is constant power to the tail light and the other is only energized when a brake is applied. You'll be using ground and the constant tail light wires. Get yourself a meter to figure out which is which.
