XR650L New Lights

My 2004 Honda XR650L with a $30 fake Acerbis headlight and $20 Walmart fog lights. Didn't turn out too bad I don't think.

The pic looks good guys. If anyone is gonna do it like this, don't buy the fake light. I rode it for about a week and had to take it off because the light bulbs melted the plastic. I just can't see spending $140 to see if the Acerbis will hold up. So if anyone tries the Acerbis light, please let us know.

Looks like you have some pretty trick parts on your XR650L. Looks sweet! Is the headlight DOT Approved for the street?

Well I loved the looks of this light but I had to remove it. The cheap material it was made out of melted after a week. As far as I know it was legal for NY state. I had found the rules and regulations for NY and all it stated was that you need a light that has two purposes - low and high beam and could be single or multiple bulbs. Hence the reason for the lights to the sides, they were my high beams. I'm hoping someone out there has the true Acerbis version and tells us how that holds up.

Nice looking bike. What kind of mirror is that, and where can I find it? Thank you.

The mirrors are from eBay. They were like $10 or $15 dollars at the time. The only problem is they don't stick out far enough to see out of. Therefore, I paid an extra $20 or $30 for the mirror extenders.
