COOL!!!!!!!!! I am interested in where the front end came from, especially the twin disk brake setup, and did it fit the original triple clamps and headstock bearings or did it need mods?

It's from a 1978 KZ1000. I put an 18" rim on the hub. It's the stock XR triple clamps with sleeves to reduce the diameter. It seems like it might be pretty quick steering so a later year with leading axle might have worked better. The width of fork tubes in clamps is almost identical, just had to make spacers about .040" narrower. My brother did all the machine work for the sleeves and drilled the rotors for me. I did the spacers and laced my first wheel. I have never had a project that is as fun as building this bike.

Interesting upgrades, did you run at Speed Week or BUB Speedtrials and how did you do?

No, I didn't make it this year. Still a lot of things to do. Finally got the carbs installed after a couple "prototype adapters." :D Will post another pic but want make some more progress. Hey, I'm interested in how you fabricated your front fender without spending $200 for an aftermarket one that I would have to carve up.

We just took a fender out of the scrap pile and welded ears on it long enough to shield the fork tubes. It's mounted with hose clamps.
