Greetings:
Brand new member, first post, just bought 2001 XR650L. So far, a blast!
Here's my question: I searched the forums and found a lot of related posts, but not exactly what I needed.
I am a petite, svelte, 6'4", 295#, and the suspension is a tad on the spongy side. I know it needs work, but what company do you recommend? I'd rather a professional do it, and know I need .47 and 12.9 springs, but I didn't see any one company recommended.
RaceTech does not seem to carry large enough springs.
Who do you all recommend?

Race Tech can sell you the .50 Eibach front spring, that's what I have with an inch and a quarter shim. With the 12.9 in the rear cranked down to 7 7/8" spring height you should have no problem with spongy springs. Also run 10w oil in the front with the clickers set to 4, set the rear shock to 4 on compression and 8 rebound. That's a good starting point, adjust from there.

98 XR650L, Dave's carb mods, 55/158 jets, stock exhaust with ATC baffle, IMS 17 liter tank, XR250 oil cooler, Eibach springs, RSW fork brace & billet triple clamp, battery under seat, weld-on peg wideners, 650R skid plate & front fender, typical diet mods, MT21's & 14/48T
