| Never snap a break or clutch lever again! Remove your perch and wrap the section of the handlebar where the perch attaches with 2 to 3 wraps of Teflon tape (white pipe thread tape). Then remount your perch and tighten but not too much. You should be able to adjust the angle of your lever with just your hand and a little bit of force. This is very useful if you are prone to dumping your bike since the lever and perch just spin around the handlebar instead of snapping off. This mod works great for bikes with or without hand guards. Cost is around $2 for the Teflon tape and takes about 5-10 minutes to complete. | |||
